This exceptional special edition was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2020 after a proud 40 years of maturation. Master blender Dr Craig Wilson selected nine hand-picked rogue casks – four American hogsheads and five European butts – and combined them to create a uniquely complex whisky. Limited to just 1380 bottles worldwide, this fine single malt whisky is a real collector’s item and a highlight for whisky lovers.

The elaborate packaging emphasises its exclusivity: two special keys are required to open the elegant gift box, which are stored in a small drawer at the bottom. At 50.9% alcohol by volume, this 40-year-old Port Ellen unfolds its deep, maritime flavour, which ideally reflects the character of the traditional distillery. An exceptional whisky that embodies a piece of whisky history and offers discerning connoisseurs an unrivalled taste experience.
