Hannes Reeh Heideboden Cuvée Red 2021 14% Vol. 0,75l
£13.43
The Hannes Reeh Heideboden Cuvée Rot 2021 14 % Vol. 0.75 l is a powerful yet elegant red wine cuvée from Burgenland that impressively reflects the potential of the region. Composed of 60% Zweigelt, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot, it combines the fruity richness of Zweigelt with the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the soft elegance of Merlot. The grapes come from sandy gravel soils and are carefully harvested by hand.
Vinification takes place with spontaneous fermentation and a maceration period of four weeks, which ensures intense colour and aromas. Subsequent ageing in stainless steel tanks and barriques gives the wine additional complexity and depth. Closed with a screw cap, it optimally preserves its freshness and flavour. It has a shelf life of up to 2033, making it a particularly enjoyable experience both young and matured.
Tasting NoteIn the glass, the Heideboden Cuvée Rot 2021 presents itself in a deep ruby red colour. The nose is dominated by aromas of dark and ripe berries, accompanied by a fine spiciness. The Zweigelt grape variety is particularly prominent in the aroma and flavour. The palate is full-bodied, velvety and harmonious, with soft tannins, ripe fruit and a long, elegant finish.
Acidity: 5.2 g/l
Residual sugar: 2 g/l
The Hannes Reeh Heideboden Cuvée Rot is the ideal accompaniment to hearty meat dishes. It is an excellent accompaniment to braised lamb with rosemary potatoes, grilled guinea fowl, roast beef or game dishes. It is also a delight with mature hard cheese. Serving temperature: 16-18 °C – it is best to decant before serving to allow the full flavour to unfold.
