Le Contesse Prosecco Frizzante Treviso DOC 10,5% Vol. 0,75l
£7.18
La Contesse is a winery that has been run by the Bonotto family since 1970. It is located at the foot of the hill of Conegliano Valdobbiadene in the province of Treviso, Italy.
The winery specialises in the production of Prosecco and mainly uses the Glera grape variety, which is ideal for the production of sparkling wine.
Le Contesse Prosecco Frizzante Treviso is made from 100% Glera grapes, which come from the province of Treviso. The grapes are carefully harvested in the first and second decade of September to ensure optimal ripeness. After gentle pressing of the grapes, the must is clarified and fermented at low temperatures to preserve its freshness and aromas.
The second fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled pressurised tanks (autoclaves) with selected yeasts, which gives the Prosecco its fine perlage and harmonious structure. After ageing, this tart Prosecco is bottled and sealed with a screw cap.
Tasting NotePale straw yellow with a fine perlage in the glass. A particularly fruity nose of sour apples and grapefruit. Flavoursome, fresh and harmonious on the palate, with notes of ripe apples, grapefruit, acacia blossom and wisteria. Long and persistent on the finish.
Acidity: 5.6 g/l
Residual sugar: 17 g/l
Drinking temperature: 6-8 °C
A versatile companion that goes perfectly with salad with prawns, meat terrine, sushi, asparagus and savoury dishes.
