Goldenits Robert Welschriesling Icewine 2020 10% Vol. 0,375l

£20.72

Weingut Goldenits Robert is located in Tadten, nestled in the large Heideboden vineyard. This region to the east of Lake Neusiedl benefits from the Pannonian climate, which offers ideal conditions for growing highly ripe grapes. As a traditional family business, the winery cultivates 35 hectares of vineyards. Red wine accounts for 75% of the area under cultivation, while the remaining 25% is reserved for white wine.

The grapes for the Goldenits Robert Welschriesling Eiswein are carefully harvested by hand and then fermented in steel tanks for 25 days to preserve the natural flavours. The vines thrive on sandy black soil, under which gravel slabs lie in the subsoil. After fermentation, the wine was also matured in steel tanks to emphasise the freshness and clarity of the wine. Finally, the ice wine was bottled and sealed with a screw cap.

Tasting NoteGolden brown in the glass. The nose reveals sweet notes accompanied by exotic nuances of ripe peaches. Sweet on the palate, yet perfectly balanced and fruity with distinct peach flavours supported by a fine acidity. Long and persistent on the finish.

Acidity: 8.7 g/l

Residual sugar: 162 g/l

Drinking temperature: 8 °C

Harmonises excellently with blue cheese, sweet desserts and fresh fruit.
