Le Contesse Prosecco Brut DOC 11% Vol. 0,75l
£9.27
Le Contesse Prosecco Brut DOC 11% vol. 0.75 litre is an elegant, finely balanced Prosecco DOC from Treviso that embodies the typical freshness and lightness of the Veneto region. Produced in the province of Treviso at around 40 metres above sea level, the grapes for this Italian sparkling wine are grown on medium-textured soils that offer the grape variety optimal conditions. The Glera grape variety used is cultivated using the traditional Sylvoz method, which promotes balanced ripeness and a healthy grape structure.
Harvesting takes place in the second ten days of September, when the grapes have reached their ideal balance. After gentle pressing, the must is purified by static decantation. Part of the must is stored at a low temperature, while the rest is fermented at a controlled temperature and then matured in stainless steel tanks. Secondary fermentation in pressurised tanks with selected yeasts gives this Prosecco Brut its characteristic liveliness. After bottling, the wine rests for several weeks in refrigerated storage rooms to finalise its harmonious structure. This Prosecco from Italy is a versatile aperitif wine as well as a stylish accompaniment to light meals.
Tasting NoteA light straw yellow colour in the glass, with a fine and persistent perlage, the nose reveals fruity aromas of golden apple and Williams pear, accompanied by a hint of white flowers, on the palate the wine is refreshing and sweet, with a balanced structure and lively freshness, the finish is harmonious and clear, long-lasting and pleasantly invigorating.
Residual sugar: 10 g/litre
This Prosecco Brut DOC is ideal as an aperitif at receptions, summer parties or as a stylish prelude to a dinner. It goes particularly well with light fish dishes such as grilled gilthead fillet, fried zander or seafood such as prawns and mussels. This Italian Prosecco also unfolds its freshness perfectly with antipasti, vitello tonnato or light salads with a citrus dressing. Served at 6 to 8 degrees, Le Contesse Prosecco also accompanies brunch variations with salmon or mild cream cheese and is ideal for social occasions where a lively, elegant sparkling wine from Veneto is required.
