Casa Lupo Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2020 16% Vol. 0,75l

£34.25

Casa Lupo Amarone della Valpolicella stands for first-class winemaking and tradition. This cuvée consists of 65% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella and 10% other grape varieties. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 450 metres and are characterised by limestone fossiliferous formations, in particular biancone marble.

The grapes are harvested by hand in several passes during the last two weeks of September to ensure optimal ripening. They are then left to dry in fruit sheds until December/January, where the loss of water concentrates the grapes’ flavours and ingredients.

Fermentation and maceration take place in small steel tanks. The wine then matures for 18-24 months in oak barrels of 500 to 1000 litres. After this maturation, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.

This Casa Lupo Amarone offers an incomparable flavour experience.

Tasting NoteDeep red with garnet-red reflections in the glass. Fruity nose of red berries such as redcurrants, blueberries and sour cherries. Spicy, refined, elegant, fruity on the palate with notes of jam and vanilla. Long-lasting finish.

Acidity: 6.19 g/l

Residual sugar: 8.1 g/l

Drinking temperature: 18 °C

This red wine goes very well with braised meat and well-matured cheese.
