Müller Klöch Pinot Blanc Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2024 13,5% Vol. 0,75l
£11.35
Weingut Müller Klöch, located in the picturesque region of Klöch in south-east Styria, was founded by Walter Müller in 1973. Today, his son Stefan Müller successfully continues to run the family business. The family’s vineyards are located in the first-class Hochwarth and Seindl vineyards, which offer ideal conditions for cultivation thanks to their special geographical location and optimal climate. These conditions allow for first-class grape ripening, which is clearly reflected in the flavour of the wines.
Müller Klöch Pinot Blanc is made from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes and is vinified with great care. The grapes grow on reddish loam and weathered basalt rock, which gives the wine its special minerality. After the harvest, the wine matures both in stainless steel tanks and in a 500-litre wooden barrel, after which the wine is bottled and sealed with a screw cap. This closure method ensures optimum ageing, allowing the Pinot Blanc to mature for up to 10 years and gain in complexity.
Tasting NoteDelicate yellow colour with greenish reflections in the glass. Fruity nose of ripe pears, notes of quince and walnuts. Powerful, mineral, multi-faceted and fruity pear flavour on the palate. Long and persistent on the finish.
Acidity: 5.9 g/l
Residual sugar: 3.5 g/l
Drinking temperature: 7-9 °C
Harmonises perfectly with pork, chicken, ravioli, sushi and cheese spaetzle.
