Landauer Gisperg Black Betty Red 2022 12% Vol. 0,75l
£14.47
The Landauer Gisperg Black Betty Red 2022 with 12.5% vol. in a 0.75-litre bottle is an organic-certified red wine cuvée from Tattendorf, made from an exceptional combination of grape varieties: Rathay, Roesler and St. Laurent. These three Austrian varieties bring strength, structure, fruit and elegance into a harmonious whole. The vines grow on barren, limestone-rich gravel soils, which are typical of the region and give the wines tension, minerality and clear lines.
Vinification is carried out with the utmost care: quality-orientated low yields, selective hand-picking, precise grape sorting and a delicate interplay of ageing in large and small wooden barrels for 8-12 months. The result is a red wine that harmoniously combines the depth and opulence of the Roesler and Rathay varieties with the finesse and elegance of the St. Laurent. The Black Betty Red is dense, fruity and clearly structured; a modern, powerful red wine with a charming character and long-lasting expressiveness that can be interpreted both classically and playfully.
Tasting NoteDeep dark in the glass with violet reflections. Dense berry fruit on the nose with hints of blackberries and black cherries. Plump, fruity and opulent on the palate, with a soft texture and harmoniously integrated tannins. The finish is dense, round and long-lasting, characterised by dark fruit and fine spice.
Acidity: 5.1 g/l
Residual sugar: 4.8 g/l
Black Betty Red 2022 is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, burgers, pasta dishes with strong sauces, spicy vegetarian dishes, dark poultry, antipasti and mature cheeses. It is also perfect for sociable evenings, after-work moments, parties or as an uncomplicated red wine to relax with. Served at 17 °C, it unfolds its full flavour and accompanies a variety of occasions with a full-bodied, fruity and long-lasting structure.
