Schwarzböck Yellow Muscat Organic 2025 11.5% ABV 0.75l

£10.31

The Schwarzböck Gelber Muskateller Organic 2025, 11.5% ABV, in a 0.75-litre bottle, is an aromatic Austrian organic white wine from Lower Austria that beautifully reflects the fragrant and fresh character of the Gelber Muskateller grape variety. The grapes come mainly from the Ried Hiplissen vineyard in Putzing near Enzersfeld in the Weinviertel region, where the vines grow on sandy, warm soils. These special conditions enhance the variety’s characteristic aromas and give the wine its clear, lively character.

The 2025 wine year was characterised by normal budbreak, flowering in early June, and a cool, damp July, which helped develop delicate aromas. The predominantly dry weather during the harvest period from early September to mid-October allowed for a careful harvest of healthy grapes. The harvest for this Yellow Muscat took place in early September at 17° KMW. Following a maceration period of 8 hours, the grapes were gently pressed and then fermented in steel tanks. Ageing on the fine lees until mid-December lent the wine additional harmony, before the first bottling took place in early February. With an alcohol content of 11.5% vol., the Schwarzböck Yellow Muscat Organic 2025 impresses with its freshness and elegance, and is at its best between 2026 and 2029.

Tasting NoteIn the glass, the Schwarzböck Gelber Muskateller BIO 2025 presents itself as a pale yellow with shimmering highlights. On the nose, a distinctive, captivating bouquet unfolds, with delicate rose notes and floral nuances. On the palate, this white wine is crisp and refreshing, with aromatic elderflower, lively freshness and a harmonious structure. The finish is fragrant, clean and pleasantly long-lasting.

Acidity: 6.2 g/l

Residual sugar: 3.3 g/l

The Schwarzböck Gelber Muskateller BIO 2025 is ideal as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with traditional snacks, cold starters, asparagus and raw ham. This organic Muskateller from Lower Austria also harmonises perfectly with sushi and light Asian cuisine. Served at a temperature of 8–10 °C, it reveals its aromatic freshness and varietal character particularly well.
